Compressed Air is expensive ! Do you know how to calculate the cost ?

Calculation : Compressor Power *  x  Running Hours   x   Operation Days   x   Tariff   = Power Cost

    Example :

Compressor Power : 75kW  (You can add in the service factor also for better accuracy)

    Running hour : 24 hours

    Operation Day : 365 days

    Tariff : RM 0.34 / kWH

    75 x 24 x 365 x 0.34 = RM 223,380

As a rule of thumb, every 1kW will cost almost RM 3000  per year.

Great. Simple calculation. Very close to my plant consumption data.
